All RiverFire Glass classes are designed for fun and learning. After we get settled in, I will teach you a bit about the science, history and artistry of glass. After that, I will demonstrate how to use hand tools to cut and shape sheets of glass and you will get a chance to practice.  Then everyone gets to work making something cool and/or beautiful. I have few rules in my studio except safety and encourage everyone to let their own creativity shine. My classes are designed to be casual and most of all fun.

This is a beginner class and we will show you a number of samples and discuss which items you can make.

Choose from an array of projects for beginners designed for you to make a fun project in one evening that will then get fired and you pick it up at a later date.  Possible beginner projects are: rectangular garden stake, flower garden stake, coaster, 2 ornaments, suncatcher, 2 pendants or 2 pair earrings, or 1 pendant and 1 pair of earrings. 

Beginner projects that require additional fee paid in cash or Venmo on the day of the class:

Nightlights - additional $12 

Standing Tree, Gnome, Snowman or other figure - additional $10

1 session, 2.5 - 3 hours

Fee includes use of our tools, grinder, materials for this project & one firing. Items will be ready about a week after class. Please wait for email advising as to pick up date or give me a call. If you cannot return to pick up your items, projects can be mailed for an additional fee. 😊
