Fused Glass Plant ID Stakes Workshop

Add a pop of color to your garden beds with your own PLANT ID STAKES!

This fun Glass Fusing workshop does not require any experience or special artistic talent. We will help guide you as much or as little as you like. All materials needed to make three fused art glass plant ID stakes are included.

Students will create three (3) 2”x3” unique fused glass Plant ID stakes with a white glass section for writing your plant’s name with China Marker or Waterproof Paint Pen.

We’ll start off by giving you a basic overview of glass fusing, show you a variety of ways to safely cut glass, explain the importance of proper construction, display some design ideas and then you get to belly up to the bar, the glass bar, that is. All RiverFire Glass fusing workshops feature our glass buffet at which you can easily pick out all your components to bring back to your work station.

After your piece is arranged and glued to your satisfaction, we will fire it in our kiln, attach 12” landscape staples to each with marine grade epoxy and your one-of-a-kind pieces will be ready to pick up in about a week. If you cannot pick up your piece, we can mail it to you for a small shipping fee.

This project is for three fused glass Plant ID Stakes, each approximately 3”tall x 2“ wide on a 12” metal stake.
